all good, hotel staff and bar staff were brilliant, the hotel was lovely with Georgian decor, the beer garden was lovely, the bed broke but they knocked some off the bill so no complaints.
It suited my needs for a nights stay while visiting a family member in hospital
Beautiful room, for an amazing price! I felt like I was in a home, not a hotel, which made for such a comforting evening and morning.
the hotel was very peaceful during my stay, the room was lovely and clean and very warm. On my arrival when I checked in the young girl was very helpful.
The rest of the staff (including owners) were not very friendly, I was dissapointed as I didnt see much people skills. The breakfast was not what i would call a full english and was a rip off at £8. The bar food was nice but plain, nothing special.
Convenient to my business trip location. Friendly pub atmosphere. Good breakfast.
The relaxed and friendliness atmosphere.
No sky sports.
Characterful large rooms, not overheated. Cozy bar area. Comfy bed
Not really a hotel, just rooms above a pub. No service to mention
Nice atmosphere, convenient car park, good location in a nice part of Derby
It was a place to stay with no noise at night
The whole property is very neglected however our room was comfortable. The bath room shower cubicle was unclean and the soap dish very corroded.
the room was very nice for the period of the building
very loud till early hrs from the pub underneath the hotel and i wouldnt recommend the english breakfast as it was undercooked the mushrooms and tomotoes and beans were not cooked properly
Location - very near where we needed to be
Dirty carpet only one towel in a double room noisy fan / toilet macerator unfriendly and unsmiling staff faded and overdone decor synthetic and uncomfortable bedding (though the bed itself was quite comfortable) one small bottle of water in a double room and no tap drinking water
Friendly welcoming staff, clean room with comfortable bed .
Rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was worth the £6 per person supplement.
Bathroom too small as was the tv.
A lovely historic hotel with period Georgian features. 15 min walk into Central Derby. Nice pub downstairs that served good English food.
There could have been more breakfast options. But overall we were very happy.
easy going, helpful staff. comfortable beds. nice freshly cooked breakfast.
the hotel could do with a lick of paint, a little tatty but cosy nonetheless
